INTRODUCTION
Pinking Shears are used for seam neatening by trimming at the seam allowance area to arrest the fabric fraying. It is also called Zigzag Scissors. Sharpe Zigzag blades help to finish the fabric edges neatly, which are so-called seam neatening or/and edge decorating. By using the pinking shears, we could eliminate the bulkiness created by a sewn seam. It is also called a low-budget overlocking machine.
ANATOMY OF PINKING SHEARS
The Serrated Teeth produce zigzag patterned cut lines. There are two different handle rings found in the shears and for easy cutting experience, you could pass 4-fingers in the Large Ring/Handle and the thumb finger at the Small Ring/Handle.
TIPS
#1: When you cannot afford an Overlock Sewing Machine, you can blindly invest in Pinking Shears. It's a low-budget overclocking machine that could be purchased with a few hundred rupees.#2: The Serrated teeth on the scissors can be easily sharpened, by repeatedly cutting the foil sheet folded a couple of times.
