Hair-Tie is one of the cheapest hair accessories. It is selected in attire's matching or complementary shade and used. A piece of rectangular-shaped scrap fabric is enough and there is no special sewing skill is required, the project finishes with 3 straight machine stitch or 2+1 stitch (i.e., 2 machine stitch + 1 hand stitch). Style variations can be made by using decorative trims & laces.

PATTERN MAKING INSTRUCTIONS (Classic Style)
= 14"
Draw line (a-b) = 14"
(a-c) = 2 x 1/2" for sewing allowance
= 2 1/2"
- Draw line (a-c) = 2 3/4" as shown in fig.1
- Square down as shown in fig.1 & make a rectangle of acdb.
- Cut-line for basic Classic Style: a-c-d-b-a.
- Fabric Cut Size = 14" x 2 1/2"(inches)
PATTERN ALTERATION DETAILS
(i) For Retro Tall Style:
(a-a') = increase as per the choice or follow the measures from the size chart. Square it down as shown.
Cut-line to follow: a'-c'-d-b-a'
(ii) For Fluffy Style:
(c-c') = increase as per the choice or follow the measures from the size chart. Square it down as shown.
Cut-line to follow: a-c"-d'-b-a.
ELASTIC ESTIMATION
Tip 1: To achieve the required size, stripes of fabric could be connected together by sewing.
Tip 2: Two or more colors of the leftover fabric can be joined together to make a multicolor Hair-tie.
